How long is each mentorship program and how many CEs are provided?
Each program begins on a Sunday night with a 2-hour Orientation, and classes begin on Monday morning from 8AM to 2PM. The clinical hours with the athletes are from 2PM to 5PM and continue through Friday of each week. The total number of CEs is 48, approved by the NCBTMB and the Florida Board of Massage Therapy.
What is the cost of the mentorship program?
The total cost of tuition is $1,950.00, with a $100 discount if the application is mailed or emailed by ay The tuition covers the training, a team T-shirt, a 2-hour educational DVD on CORE Myofascial Therapy, and lunches at XPE Sports for the 5 days of training. All transportation, accommodations, and evening meals are not included in the tuition.
What are the accommodations for the weeklong training?
The team hotel is the Courtyard Marriott Boca Raton (I 95 and Glades Road) where we have a discounted rate that includes breakfast. Participants can have a single room or share a double with another team member. Those who live in the area or have family or friends living close by will have to arrange their own transportation to XPE Sports each morning. Transportation will be available to those staying at the Courtyard Marriott Boca Raton. You may come a day early (Saturday) or stay one day later (Sunday) at the same discounted rate.
Which airports are close to Boca Raton, FL?
Boca Raton is half way (20-30 minutes) between both the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and the West Palm Beach International Airport. Taxis or Uber provide transportation to the team hotel, and there is also an inexpensive commuter train system that stops one exit away from Glades Road and I 95.
What should I wear to the mentorship?
Please wear comfortable clothing (shorts, jogging pants, T-shirts, polo shirts, sweats, athletic shoes, etc.) that is appropriate for working in a fitness environment. It is alright to wear your team’s (college or pro) shirts or other gear.
